I Finally found a day to head out with my family to the Brickworks in downtown Toronto. As a kid, I has always thought this was a place you sneak into. Many photographers refer to the Brickworks as a forbidden factory that's only access is via a large fence and a flashlight. Boy was I wrong. This place has been revitalized into an extention of the Discovery Trail that connects various points of the city in one loop of trails.
I regret not visiting this site with my Nikon earlier as the dilapidated buildings are interesting at any angle, and the opportunity to snap just jumps out at you.
While we were there, many photographers could be seen across the fence on the roof and through windows. I did not have the gusto to enter the Brickworks, as it is pitch black inside. All you have to do is google brickworks to see some of the shots that can be had inside this wonderful playground of the condemned.
